This crochet spring / easter wreath took me a while to make! I don’t care, I really love it because it looks fun and colourful. I had a Styrofoam circle left since christmas and really wanted to crochet something cool with it. I don’t know it “cool” is the right word for this one, it’s more cutesy and fun I think
It looks good everywhere I hang it and the kids love it. My youngest wants to play with the little bunny so I´ll probably have to make another one for her. It’s pretty big, I used the biggest Styrofoam circle available.
It’s made out of different patterns and some of it I just made up as I went along (patterns are listed at the bottom of this post). So it’s a mix & match. I also added pink and orange feathers and little butterflies I bought at a dollar store (well, the Icelandic version of it that’s more of a 5 dollar store haha
) and the sun, bunny, birds and little chicks have safety eyes. I used pins to fasten the stuff to the wreath so the order of them can be changed if you like.
Yarn: Smart from Sandnes – 100% wool. Hooks: 4 mm and 3.5 mm. Styrofoam ring is 45 cm but with all the added crochet it’s wider now.
Crochet spring / easter Wreath
Patterns:
Sky / grass – Double crochet – sewn together in the back.
Chicks – I used different eyes and made up my own beak, didn’t make the little wings or feet
Sun – Made up

I admire your work. I like how you just added bits and pieces of crochet that you like and merged it together into a unique piece that fits your style. I think the butterflies are a great touch. I’m going to have to give a wreath a go. I’ve never made one.
