Since I immediately got requests for the slouchy hipster hat pattern I decided to write it down while it’s fresh in my head. This is my first crochet pattern, if you find any errors please let me know so I can fix them
Notes:
- You might have to modify it to find the right size. For instance skip or add an increase round, decrease a little more towards the end etc. The yarn I used has a good stretch so it actually fit my whole family except the 2 year old
So ages 8-32, male and female. The top of the hat should be 1-2 sizes too big for your head and then it decreases towards the end until you get to the single crochet edge which should fit your head. so try it on as you go along.
- I used Sandnes Alfa yarn, it’s Norwegian so it’s probably not so easy to find. It’s a mixture of Wool and mohair and the closest thing I found after a quick search was this Rowan – Cocoon Knitting Yarn and I think it looks good but you can try with other types of bulky yarn.
- I used 3 colors but you can of course add more or have it in single color. The pattern is for the exact hat in the picture.
- My hat is inside out, I thought the bottom rows looked better that way but you can have it either way, just weave in the ends on the other side

Sæl. Er það ensk eða amerísk uppskrift? Þær eru nefnilega mismunandi. Hún Handóð er með þýðingar á helstu atriðunum hér: http://handod.blogspot.com/2010/05/yingar-hekli.html
