I had some leftover yarn from my January crochet along, lovely soft and bulky Alfa yarn from SandnesGarn, 85% wool, 15%mohair. There’s just something about crocheting with it, I love it! So easy and smooth to work with. Anyway, my mom recently knitted a great slouchy hipster hat for my sisters so I thought I’d try to crochet one (please don’t tell my sister I called her a hipster). I didn’t follow a pattern, just tried to remember what I did when I made my girls Santa hats before Christmas and improvised a little. I can write it up if you like, it was very fast and easy. EDIT: Here it is!
I got my older girls to model the hat, it actually fit everyone in the family except my 2 year old
Here we go:
Slouchy hipster hat
I think it’s great having one of these lying around during winter time. Even if there’s no snow in Iceland right now (recently melted) there’s wind and rain almost constantly and I bet it´ll freeze again soon. It’s good for all ages, my 10 year old instantly loved it, but if you’d like a smaller one you can just skip an increase round or use a smaller hook.
If you’re on Pinterest please come join me, I have a crochet board – I’m also on Facebook and would absolutely love to have more crocheting friends there

I´ll take the pattern out of my head and into another blog post, hopefully today or tomorrow
I thought it was pretty funny that the hat fit everyone from age 7-32. I have a small head too. Maybe it’s the yarn, it has good stretch.
